He attended Kenwood High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. Before committing to the United States Naval Academy, he was deciding if he wanted to go play football at Middle Tennessee State University.
Trivia
During his senior year at the United States Naval Academy, he set the NCAA record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season. He was later named Offensive Player of the Year for the American Athletic Conference, also known as the AAC.
Family Life
He was born at the Fort Campbell Military Base, on the border between Kentucky and Tennessee. His parents, Bonny and Malcolm Perry Sr., were members of the US Army.
