Before Fame
He played his youth career for the Western Hockey League team the Kootenay Ice. Though his career was temporarily put on hold when he was seriously injured in a bus accident at the age of fifteen, he eventually medaled for his native Canada at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge of 2011.
