Kenyan journalist and media personality, best known as one of the BBC's 100 most inspiring women in 2021, as well as a YouTuber. Her talk show style YouTube channel features guests and her discussing heartwarming and impactful stories. The eponymous channel has over 1.1 million subscribers.
Before Fame
She studied journalism at the East Africa School of Media Studies in 2004. She then worked for years in Qatar and Duba as a barista, as she found it difficult to get a job in the media. In 2011, she began to gain a following on social media and secured a job at the news station, Tuko News. In 2021 she decided to launch her own YouTube channel.

She wrote about human interest stories and campaigned for justice, including for Ebbie Noelle Samuels, who died as the result of a head injury at her boarding school. She has received many awards and accolades throughout her career, such as the Cafe Ngoma humanitarian journalist of the year award in 2020, the Ambassador for Change for the Commonwealth of Nations in 2021, the BBC list of the 100 most influential women of 2021, the Gender justice champion award by Echo Network Africa in 2023, and the Media Personality of the Year by East Africa Women of Excellence in 2024.
Family Life
She grew up in a poor slum outside of Nairobi. Her father was abusive and after her parent's separated, her mother raised her and her three sisters alone, selling shoes to support them.
