Lyle Menendez

Widely known for being convicted with his brother Erik for the 1989 double murder of his parents. He was convicted in 1996 following a court case that, because of its Court TV broadcasting, became one of the most infamous crime stories of the 1990s in the US.

Before Fame

He studied at Princeton University for a year. He was suspended for a year after being accused of academic dishonesty. 

Trivia

Footage from his court case was used in the 1994 film Natural Born Killers. In 2017, Lifetime released the docudrama Menendez: Blood Brothers based upon his life and murders.

Family Life

He married Rebecca Sneed in 2003 in a jailhouse ceremony at Mule Creek State Prison.

He was interviewed from jail by Chris Cuomo at the end of the "The Menéndez Brothers: Murder in Beverly Hills" episode of HLN's How It Really Happened in 2017.
