Champion para surfer who has been featured in Forbes, SurfGirl Magazine, The Inertia, American Surf Magazine, and numerous additional publications in recognition of her athletic prowess and inspiring attitude of endurance. A congenital, bilateral, above-elbow amputee, she never allowed her condition to limit her athletic abilities and dreams. She earned the Gold Medal at the ISA World Para Surfing Championship in the Stand 1 division for three years consecutively, from 2020 to 2022.
Before Fame
She was always active in athletics throughout her childhood, consistently engaging in soccer, rifle, field hockey, and other sports. She surfed for the first time at the Beautifully Flawed Retreat in 2017 and the following summer, she attended a Challenge Athletes Foundation surf clinic and realized that she had discovered her true passion.
Trivia
In July of 2023, she assisted Nature Conservation Doctoral Candidate Jade Harris on her PhD study on the overall costs of fencing lions in South Africa. She spent several months at Marataba Camps in South Africa recording data on lion pride, assisting with animal interventions, and documenting a myriad of species including rhinoceros, cheetahs, giraffes, bushbucks, and more.
