Motivational speaker and police officer known for being abducted by serial killer Bobby Joe Long when she was 17 years old. She was one of Long's last victims and the information she provided to police led to his capture. She put herself through the police academy and was deputized in 2004. She worked in schools and taught students how to handle dangerous situations.

On November 3, 1984, she was abducted by Long as she rode her bike home from work. She was blindfolded and taken to his home where he assaulted her. After 26 hours he released her and she provided information about him to investigators. He was arrested on November 16, 1984. 

Family Life

Her mother had drug and alcohol abuse issues. At age 14, she moved in with her grandmother. She was a victim of abuse by her grandmother's boyfriend.
