She had begun her relationship with Slater over a decade before they decided to call it quits in 2023, after having met while attending Georgetown Day High School together. They wed after 6 years of dating, while Slater starred as the titular character in SpongeBob SquarePants, The Broadway Musical - a role for which he would later earn a Best Actor in a Musical nomination from the 2018 Tony Awards. After graduating from Amherst College and Columbia University, she earned her Ph.D. in psychology from Long Island University. She worked in various psychology interns and externships before going on to become a Perinatal Mental Health and Early Follow-Up Psychology Fellow at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She has also served as Counselor-in-Residence at the Girls Leadership Institute and volunteered for numerous organizations including Horizons for Homeless Children and the Crisis Text Line.

Family Life

She and her ex-husband Ethan Slater welcomed their first son, Ezra, in August of 2022. She is a triplet and was born alongside her brothers Noah and Isaac. She also has an older brother named Lightning. All 4 siblings are the children of psychologist Jeffrey Jay and real estate agent Molly Peter.
