He began his youth career training with the San Lorenzo club. He made his professional debut with the San Lorenzo de Almagro in December of 1998 at the age of only 17. In 2001, he played for Argentina's Under 20 national team and in 2003, he joined the Argentina first national team. In January of 2005, he signed with Mexico's Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz club.
