Lauren Hogg

Activist who has gained attention for her efforts in fighting against gun violence. She survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018. She later co-founded March for Our Lives, which is a student-led demonstration in support of gun control legislation. 

Before Fame

She was a freshman at Stoneman Douglas High School when a gunman came on campus and began shooting.

Trivia

She testified as a witness before the Committee of Homeland Security in 2019 against police presence in schools as a solution to gun violence. She and her brother wrote a book called #NeverAgain: A New Generation Draws the Line. She later wrote Activist, a graphic novel, in 2019. One of the main causes she has fought for has been raising the legal purchasing age of guns from 18 to 21. 

Family Life

Her mother, Rebecca Boldrick, is a teacher in the Broward County Public Schools system, and her father, Kevin Hogg, is a former FBI agent. Her brother David Hogg is also an activist.
