About

Football quarterback highly reputed for his collegiate football career playing for the Ohio State University Buckeyes. He has played in notable games including the 2022 Peach Bowl and the 2022 Rose Bowl. In 2023, he was announced by head coach Ryan Day to be the starter for the Buckeyes' season opener against Indiana University, which Ohio went on to win. After committing to Ohio in 2021, he was ranked a five-star prospect by 247Sports while still in his junior year of high school. 

Before Fame

He attended St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia, PA. While attending, he was named Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year and went on to finish his high school career with a Philadelphia Catholic League record-breaking 6,887 passing yards.

Trivia

He was named High School Football America Player of the Year and NHSCA National High School Player of the Year. Before the end of his high school career, he had received college scholarship offers from Texas A&M University, Penn State University, and Mississippi State University, among many others. He stands 6'3" tall and weighs 215 pounds.

Family Life

His father Derek McCord is a former quarterback for Rutgers University, while his mother Stacy McCord is an educator for elementary school students involved in gifted and STEM programs.
