Former college basketball player most widely known for becoming the 1st openly transgender NCAA Division I college athlete, after coming out as a trans man in 2010. He now works as a public speaker, artist, mentor, and advocate of transgender rights. He regularly travels to high schools, universities, and other institutions of education in order to discuss issues facing the transgender community.
Before Fame
He played as a guard for 3 seasons on George Washington University's women's basketball team - the George Washington Colonials. Although he resigned from the GWU basketball team in 2011, he also graduated later that year - earning a bachelor's degree in fine arts.
Trivia
He became an inductee to the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame in 2015. He produced the project "I Am Enough" in order to allow LGBTQ individuals to feel a sense of solidarity and both share their own experiences and learn about those of others.

Poems and letters he wrote about his parents (as well as himself) can be read in his published book entitled "Who Am I?"
