Before Fame
He suffered open fractures in his fingers and narrowly avoided amputation following a fireworks accident just before high school. He went on to play high school basketball for The Webb School.
Trivia
He finished his high school career as the top-ranked recruit in Tennessee. In 2020 he became the first top-ranked Tennessee prospect since 2013 to commit to play for the Tennessee Volunteers.
