About

Award-winning actor, producer, and writer that is known for his role as Thomas in the 2009 Sci-Fi film District 9. He has also gained recognition from his roles in films such as Tsotsi, White Wedding, Ayanda and the Mechanic, Mad Buddies, and Five Fingers for Marseilles.

Before Fame

He officially began his professional acting career during the 1990's. He eventually earned his very first acting role in the 1999 crime drama series Saints, Sinners, and Settlers. 

Trivia

As a result of his amazing performance in the 2009 comedy film White Wedding, he was given an award for "Best Actor" at the 2010 South African Film and Television Awards. The film itself received seven different nominations.  In addition to starring in the film White Wedding, he also received credit for being a film producer.

Family Life

He lives along with his wife and their three children. He is a native of South Africa.
