She secured the California state high school wrestling championship in 2015 and earned four US national high school wrestling titles. She also represented Team USA as a freestyle wrestler, competing on the Cadet National Team, Cadet World Team, and twice on the Junior National Team. By the conclusion of her junior year, she topped TrackWrestling's Elite Athlete list for girls and was honored twice as the Press-Enterprise Girls Wrestler of the Year. After spending a year wrestling at Simon Fraser University, she shifted her focus back to Jiu-Jitsu full-time in 2016. During her time in Jiu-Jitsu, she accumulated several titles, including double gold at the 2018 World No-Gi Championship as a brown belt. She was awarded her black belt in 2019.
