About
Known for his original comic anthology collection called Flight, which was published in eight volumes between 2004 and 2011. He also created the webcomic Copper, which until 2009, was published on his personal website.
Before Fame
He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in film studies from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000. He served as the art director for the school's newspaper, The Daily Nexus, for over three years. This led him to pursuing art full time.
Trivia
In 2008, the first book in his Amulet graphic novel series debuted, which garnered him widespread acclaim. In 2013, he drew the covers for the 15th edition of the Harry Potter series.
Family Life
He moved to the US in 1982 with his mother and his brother. He and his wife, fellow illustrator Amy Kim Ganter, have two children named Juni and Sophie together.
