Before Fame
At six she began learning to play piano, eventually graduating to the guitar. Into college, she majored in American studies at the University of Hong Kong. It was there she began competing in singing competitions.

Family Life
She was born in Tai Po, Hong Kong, the only child of a Hakka family. She married fellow Cantopop artist Louis Cheung in 2007 and the two gave birth to their son that same year.
