American actress who first gained fame in 2014 for her short comedic film Brain of Terror. She went on to portray Samantha in Big Little Lies and Patricia in Insecure. In 2016, she began voicing Ms. Marvel for various Marvel video games and television programs.

She studied public health at UC Berkeley and control of infectious diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
