English writer who is known for her work both as a playwright and as a journalist. She also made history when she became the first female Editor-In-Chief of The Guardian. She is also known for having co-written the popular play My Names is Rachel Corrie.
Before Fame
She published her first article in The Guardian in 1987 while she was still in school at Pembroke College, Oxford where she discussed the GCE I level examinations and their soon-to-be replacement the General Certificate of Secondary Education. She quickly started writing more articles and was then picked up by Cosmopolitan.
Trivia
She is also known for having served as a judge in the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2004 and was later appointed to the board of the Royal Court Theatre.
