Legendary South Korean actress who gained recognition internationally after her starring in the 1987 drama film The Surrogate Woman. She also gained recognition from her roles in Come Come Come Upward, Road to the Racetrack, That Woman, That Man, and Their Last Love Affair. As a result of her highly acclaimed performance in The Surrogate Woman, she was named 'Best Actress' during the 1987 Venice Film Festival.
