Born in Leduc, Canada, to Leslie Hipkin and Mike Bristowe, she has a sister named Haley. She got engaged to Shawn Booth when she selected him as the winner of her season of The Bachelorette, but the two separated before marrying. She became engaged to Jason Tartick in May 2021, but they called off their engagement in August 2023.
