Before Fame

During that time, he also balanced a steady influx of acting roles with his academic studies, graduating from Waseda University with a degree in cultural studies.

In 2011, he earned the title of Best Male Rookie from the 5th Seiyu Awards. He was later named Best Voice Actor in the television category at the 2015 Tokyo Anime Award Festival, for his performance in the sport drama miniseries Ping Pong the Animation.
