Before Fame

He obtained an AA degree at a community college before transferring to UC Irvine, where he majored in drama.

Trivia

He has performed on stage in productions of Wicked, West Side Story, CATS, and a couple of Shakespeare plays. He was a dancer on Glee for an episode.
