Author known primarily for her romance and fantasy novels, most notably Carpe Demon and Claim Me, the latter of which won the 2014 RITA Award.

Before Fame

She worked as a lawyer in California and Texas prior to pursuing writing as a full-time career in 2004.

Trivia

She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas and attended law school at Baylor University. She's written under the names J. Kenner and J.K. Beck.

She and her husband have two daughters.
