About
Principal ballerina at the Kremlin Ballet Theatre in Moscow, she was previously the first American to enroll in the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy full-time as a student and become Prima Ballerina for the company upon graduation. She also hosts a YouTube channel with vlogs and tutorials and is CEO of Project Prima.
Before Fame
She traveled all across the United States to take summer courses offered by the best Russian ballet academies. When she was 15 years old, her instructors noticed that she had a lot of talent and offered her a position at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.
Trivia
She wanted to go to Russia to study ballet as she considers American ballet to be the grandchild of the more traditional and therefore superior ballet. That is also why she chose to remain in Moscow and join another Russian ballet after the Bolshoi Ballet scandal.
Family Life
She has six brothers and two sisters, who all still live in Texas. She had to learn Russian immediately upon arrival, as the classes at Bolshoi are taught exclusively in Russian.
Associated With
She was trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, like Diana Vishneva, who some argue is the best ballerina of all time.
