About

Artist, humorist, and cartoonist most widely regarded for his German webcomic Nichtlustig (Non-Funny), which has historically been largely offered to viewers at little or no charge. He has drawn and written countless Non-Funny cartoons by hand with watercolor and post-processing scans. He is a multi-winner of the Sondermann Prize of the Frankfurt Book Fair and has published numerous printed works, including Non-Funny 1-6, The Thick Cartoon Book, and Nonlascivus: Cartoons in Latin.

Before Fame

He has been drawing from a very early age. On February 19, 2023, he shared a video on his Instagram account from a television program on the ZDF Network in 1989 called "Jugend in der Bütt ," where he drew a cartoon-like sketch of various characters, including the renowned children's book author James Kruss. 

Trivia

He is enamored with the idea of time travel and in addition to his first Non-Funny episode's title and synopsis of "Time Traveling Ducks," he has also written a script called Day Injection when he was just 17 years old. The story involved a mysterious/thriller-like genre and a plot focused on a detective blamed for the murder of an opera singer who uses a Time Travel Injection to attempt murder prevention and prove his innocence.

As a time-travel enthusiast, he has incorporated the theory into many of his works. The time 10:04 has been regularly included in these cartoons, books, and webisodes, as a tribute to the time the Back to the Future DeLorean was flown into the clocktower by Marty McFly, who was portrayed by Michael J. Fox.
