Jontay Porter

About

Power forward and athlete who began his NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies in the year 2020 after going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft. Prior to his NBA career, he played college basketball at the University of Missouri.

Before Fame

He began his high school basketball career at Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School, then after his family relocated, he played the last two years of his high school career at Nathan Hale High School. 

Trivia

In April of 2024, he received a lifetime ban from the NBA due to violating gambling rules. He played with the Toronto Raptors from the year 2023 until 2024. As a freshman at Missouri in 2017-18, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and he earned the SEC Sixth Man of the Year award.

Family Life

He played alongside his older brother, Michael Porter Jr., in high school and at Missouri. He also has a younger brother named Coban and two sisters named Bri and Cierra.

He briefly played alongside forward RJ Barrett on the Toronto Raptors during the 2023-24 NBA season.
