Men's flyweight, bantamweight, and featherweight fighter that is best known by his nickname, "Dragon." He is a blue belt in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighting discipline. In the year 2023, he earned a top 25 ranking in the UFC.

Before Fame

Prior to his professional fighting career, he began learning Taekwondo as a teenager. He was first taught Taekwondo by his father. 

Trivia

He made his official UFC debut while fighting against Andre Soukhamthath on October 27, 2018. Unfortunately, he lost his first career match via unanimous decision. Martinez faced Cub Swanson on October 15, 2022 at UFC Fight Night 212. He won the fight via technical knockout in round two. This win earned him the Performance of the Night award.

Family Life

He lives with his wife Amber and their family in Plainview, Texas. He has a son and a daughter.
