Jonathan Davies

Welsh former rugby footballer who is known for representing Wales in both rugby union and rugby league in the 1980s and 1990s. He was goal-kicking backline player who played for his club rugby in Wales, England and Australia. His Twitter account has gained over 230,000 followers. 

Before Fame

He got his education from Trimsaran Primary School, where his teacher Meirion Davies introduced him to rugby. Age 17, he worked as an apprentice painter and decorator. He graduated from Gwendraeth Grammar School.

Trivia

After retiring from rugby, he worked in the media as a commentator for the BBC. In 2004, he began hosting his own rugby themed chat show called Jonathan, on channel S4C. He played and captained for the Great Britain team during his playing career.

Family Life

He is the son of Diana and Len Davies. In 2016, he married Jay Thornburn. He was married to Karen Hopkins Davies until 1997. They had a daughter named Geena.
