Jewelry designer and entrepreneur best known for popularizing the diamond and gold mouthpiece grillz. He is the founder of Johnny Dang & Co. and has designed grillz for everyone from athletes, to rappers, and makeup artists. 

Before Fame

He was introduced to the jewelry business by his father and grandfather who had decades of experience working in the business. After immigrating to the United States in the year 1987, alongside his family, he moved to Texas in the year 1996 and began working as a jewelry repairman. Around this time, he graduated with an English degree from Houston Community College.

Trivia

While working as a repairman at his own flea market booth, he met rapper businessman Paul Wall, who was impressed by his grillz design skills. Soon, after that, he entered the Hip-Hop industry where he quickly rose in popularity. He has been referenced in songs by artists such as Juice WRLD, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, and Migos.

Family Life

He was born in Dak Lak, Vietnam, and raised alongside his four siblings. His father served during the Vietnam War. He married Jennifer Dang, and the two share a daughter and a son, born on September 5, 2005, and April 19, 2007, respectively.

He has created custom grillz for celebrities such as Tony Hawk, Paris Hilton, Quavo, and Katy Perry. He has been featured in music videos for artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, Beyoncé, Soulja Boy, and DJ Khaled.
