After leaving the Canucks' organization, he was then hired by CBS Canada to commentate nationally-televised games on CTV Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada.

He began his broadcasting career in 1993 working in Vancouver, Canada at CKVU-TV during the Sports Page late-night segment.
