Prior to being drafted, he played college football at North Carolina State University. He actually graduated from NC State in only three years.
Trivia
After making appearances in Super Bowls LI, LII and LIII as a starter for the New England Patriots, he became the first player in NFL history to start in three straight Super Bowls to begin his career. He was later named to the New England Patriots All-Dynasty Team and All-2010s Decade Team. He won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs, giving him three rings throughout his career. Over the course of his career, he has started more than 100 games in the NFL.
