Joe Fryer

About

Retired professional soccer player who notably wrapped up his on-field career playing as a goalkeeper for the EFL League Two team, Swindon Town Football Club. Following his 2021 retirement, he rejoined Middlesbrough Football Club, of which he had been a player at the start of his career, as a goalkeeping coach. Throughout his career, he also played for teams such as Carlisle United and Stevenage.

Before Fame

He launched his professional soccer career during his youth, playing for Middlesbrough Football Club's U-15 level beginning in 2016. He would later move on loan to Hartlepool United.

Trivia

While on loan to League Two's Carlisle United during the 2018-19 season, he suffered a double leg break which forced him to remain hospitalized during his recovery. This marked the end of his loan and would later influence his retirement from playing at such a young age.
