Before Fame

He graduated from Stockholm Film School in 1994. He garnered acclaim for his and his friend Espen Sandberg's work co-directing commercials, including the popular 2001 Budweiser "Rex" spot, which was named "viewer's favorite" in a 2001 USA Today poll.

Trivia

He co-directed the 2017 Disney action film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. He was also hired to direct the 2019 Disney fantasy film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
