Often going by the name JR and Aaron Yan, he is a Taiwanese actor and singer who is best recognized for having been one of the members of the pop group Fahrenheit. He is also known for his recurring roles on several television series' including KO One where he played Ding Xiaoyu and The X-Family where he played Jiu Wu.
Before Fame
He was originally discovered on a modeling blog where he was scouted by Comic Productions. His acting debut came in 2004 when he appeared in the Taiwanese drama series I Love My Wife. He then started his musical career the following year in 2005 when Fahrenheit was founded with three fellow Taiwanese models and artists.
Trivia
He has won a wide range of awards for his musical career including an Asia Star Award at the 10th Seoul International Drama Awards in 2015 for his song "Girlfriend" and the Best New Artist award at the 2nd Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards in 2012 for his song "The Next Me".
Family Life
He was born in Wu Kend-lin in Taipei but was raised in Connecticut.
