Professional second baseman and utilityman that was first signed by the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2017. He was later signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in March 2018. During his professional career, he has also played in the Australian Baseball League as well as the KBO League.
Before Fame
While he was in high school, he won a silver medal during the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup as a member of the South Korean national team. By some, he was regarded as South Korea's best high school hitter.
Trivia
After signing with the Braves at age 18, he became the youngest Asian baseball player to sign with the club since the 1990s. In fact, he is only the second South Korean high schooler ever to sign a MLB contract.

He grew up living with his family in Daegu, Republic of Korea. He has an older brother.
