Canadian hockey coach and former ice hockey player known for being the first female coach to be behind the bench in NHL history after being hired by the Seattle Kraken in 2024. She is also known for coaching the Nürnberg Ice Tigers and for being part of the coaching staff for Team Germany at the 2022 IIHF World Championship, where she became the first woman to coach at the men's world championship.
Before Fame
She began playing hockey at a very young age. She captained Team Canada at the 2010 IIHF Women's U18 World Championship as a teenager, and the team won the gold medal. She attended Cornell University where she played hockey and served as team captain while attending the school. She began coaching hockey in 2022 and her big break came when she was chosen as a coach for the Seattle Kraken in 2024.
Trivia
She participated in the sixth season of the Canadian reality show Battle of the Blades in 2020. She and her partner Asher Hill finished as runners-up.
Family Life
She was born and raised in Rocanville, Saskatchewan, Canada. She is the youngest of four children. Her mother played hockey at the University of Saskatchewan and her father also played hockey. She and her siblings were all involved in hockey growing up.
