Jess Phillips

About

English politician who is known for having served as a Member of Parliament for the Birmingham Yardley district. She is a member of the Labour Party and is also known for having served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Lucy Powell in September of 2015. 

Before Fame

She studied economic and social history at the University of Leeds before she went on to earn her post-graduate degree in public sector management from the University of Birmingham. She started her career working for the Women's Aid Federation of England in 2010. 

Trivia

She is also a writer and is known for having published her first book Everywoman: One Women's Truth About Speaking the Truth through Penguin Books in February of 2017. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Birmingham, England and married Tom Phillips. Together the couple has two sons.
