Before Fame

He began playing guitar as a child after being taught by his father. He attended Calvary Chapel Bible College. He became an ordained minister after graduation. He began performing for different churches. He started his YouTube channel in 2007 and began posting his music related content in 2009. 

Trivia

He recorded the song "Open Up Your Eyes" which was featured in an album celebrating the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe film in the year 2005. He is the author of the book I Still Believe (2011).

Family Life

He was born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana. His father was a pastor. He married Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp in the year 2000, and they were married until she died from cancer in the year 2001. He married Adrienne Leisching in the year 2003. They have three children together.
