Well known for his R&B albums Jay R, Christmas Away from Home, and Soul in Love, this Filipino-American singer is also notable for his appearances on Filipino television programs such as Narito Ang Puso Ko, Love to Love, and Sunday All Stars.

Before Fame

During his teen years, he performed with a music group called FI. In his early twenties, he released his debut solo album, Gameface.

Trivia

He and his early musical collaborator and fellow R&B artist, Kyla, were nicknamed "JayLa" by their fans. His musical fame has led him to gain over 280,000 followers on Instagram. 

Family Life

Born Gaudencio Sillona III in Glendale, California, to Filipino musician parents Gaudencio and Amparo Sillona, he grew up in the Los Angeles area with three older siblings.

He and singer Jennylyn Mercado both appear in the 2004 Filipino movie So Happy Together.
