British television presenter, furniture designer, and restorer who is known for hosting shows like The Repair Shop, Money for Nothing, and Jay Blades' Home Fix. He has also released a memoir titled Making It: How Love, Kindness, and Community Helped Me Repair My Life.

Before Fame

At a young age, he worked in factories as a laborer. He later studied at Buckinghamshire New University.

Trivia

He began a charity with his wife titled Out of the Dark. It was meant to train disadvantaged youth on how to restore furniture. During the early 2010s, roughly between 2012 and 2013, Blades was involved in the running of a children's club known as "Men Behaving Dadly", a weekend playgroup aimed at young children and their fathers. It took place at Bedfont & Chiswick children's centers.

Family Life

He has three children. In the year 2022, he got married for a second time to Lisa Zbozen.

Associated With

King Charles III appeared in an episode of The Repair Shop, of which he was the lead presenter. He and David Jason hosted a restoration series on the BBC2 channel.
