He was born Bennie Jauan Jennings in Cowan, Tennessee to parents Angela Holman and Bennie Jennings. His father Bennie was a four-year letterman on the University of North Alabama's football team. He is the brother of Alexis and Kendal Jennings and Elizabeth, Tinae, and Tony Holman. He has an older sister named Alexis who played collegiate basketball at the University of Kentucky and University of South Carolina.
