About

Artist, writer, and author whose work has been published in The Beano, Funday Times, and Toxic Magazine. He authored the Flember series as well as the internationally popular Bunny vs Monkey and Looshkin stories, which are published both in The Phoenix and as best-selling graphic novels.

Before Fame

He began reaching out to publishers and earning small commissions when he was just 13 years old. After studying art in college for four years, he earned his first paying commission in a monthly cooking magazine.

Trivia

In the year 2013, his comic strip collection Fish-Head Steve was shortlisted for the coveted Roald Dahl Funny Prize. For the final print edition of The Dandy on its 75th anniversary, Jamie Smart drew the special cover as well as drawing My Own Genie, My Dad's a Doofus, Pre-Skool Prime Minister and My Teacher's a Walrus in the Top 75 Countdown.

Family Life

He has expressed that his parents were very supportive of his passion for drawing and encouraged him to enroll in art school.
