Skilled composer known for composing stunning wind ensembles, choral music, orchestral music, and chamber music. He is particularly known for the award-winning wind ensemble Hound of Heaven release in 1988.
Before Fame
At only nine years old, he joined his elementary school band as a percussionist. Then, at sixteen, he began taking piano lessons. He would go on to earn a bachelor's in music education at Northern Illinois University and a master's in studio writing and media production at University of Miami.
Trivia
In 2001, he began teaching music at the University of Texas at San Antonio and would go on to teach private music lessons, focusing in composition, orchestration, and more.
Family Life
Born in Hyde Park, New York, he grew up in both New York and Florida. He married pianist Elizabeth Gutierrez and settled with her in San Antonio, Texas.
