James Dewees

About

American musician notable for his work with the bands The Get Up Kids, Coalesce, My Chemical Romance, and Reggie and the Full Effect. He also released individual recordings with Leathermouth, New Found Glory, and Matt Pryor. 

Before Fame

While studying music at the University of Missouri, he began performing as both a singer and a drummer with the Kansas City-based band Coalesce. 

Trivia

While performing with Reggie and the Full Effect, Dewees created several personas -- i.e. lead singer "Klaus" of a fictional Scandanavian metal group -- who appear on different albums and tracks by the band.

He was born and raised in Liberty, Missouri.
