Jakob Nowell

About

California-based musician, entertainer, artist, and performer who is most famous for becoming the front man of the band Sublime in the year 2023, a role which had previously been made famous by his father, Bradley Nowell before his death in the year 1996.

Before Fame

Prior to joining Sublime, he started his musical career as the vocalist of a ska-punk band called LAW. The band released their debut EP on Skunk Records before dropping their subsequent full-length album, "There and Back Again," in 2018.

Trivia

He was also a founding member of the group Jakobs Castle, known for its debut album "Enter: The Castle." He was also a brief contributor to the metal band Death of the Author. He performed alongside the group at Coachella in the year 2024.

Family Life

He is the son of the late Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell. He was only 11 months old when his father tragically died of a heroin overdose in 1996.

He revived Sublime in 2023 along with its founding members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh.
