French-born dance choreographer who is best known as the founder of Diavolo Dance Theater. He is also the founder of Architecture in Motion, a dance company based in Los Angeles that blends modern dance, acrobatics, and gymnastics creating a unique style and aesthetic.
Before Fame
He moved to New York City at a young age to pursue his passion of dance. He received his BFA in Theater, Dance, and Film at Middlebury College in Vermont. He then moved to England and received his Certificate for Analysis and Criticism of Dance from University of Surrey. Shortly after he would receive his MFA in Choreography from the California Institute of the Arts.
Trivia
He has choreographed a variety of events and performances including the Cirque du Soleil show, Kà which premiered in 2005 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas hotel.
Family Life
His grandfather, also named Jacques Heim, was a Parisian fashion designer who is known as the inventor of the bikini alongside Louis Réard.
