Famous for his work with the Jamaican reggae band Inner Circle, he is also notable for his solo recordings, which include the 1978 album Dread Dread and the 1980 LP Mixed Up Moods.
Before Fame
Early in his career, he collaborated with Augustus Pablo on a number of tracks, including "False Rasta," "Baby I Love You So," and the popular "King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown."

Family Life
The son of Desmond Elliot and Joan Ashman, he was born in Mandeville, Jamaica, and raised by his grandparents in Kingston, Jamaica. Tragically, he was killed in a car crash (along with his son) when he was just twenty seven years old.
Associated With
He and fellow reggae vocalist Gregory Isaacs were both in the cast of the 1978 Jamaican movie Rockers.
