Ian Gibaut

About

Professional reliever that was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays during the 11th round of the 2015 Major League Draft. After three seasons, he was drafted out of Tulane University. During his professional career, he has pitched in the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians farm systems. 

Before Fame

He first began his professional career playing for the Princeton Rays. He finished his season with the team posting a 2.12 ERA.

Trivia

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Baltimore Orioles on July 12, 2019 as a member of the Rays. He recorded two strikeouts in just two innings of relief. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his parents and this siblings in Houston, Texas. He has one brother and two sisters.
