Chinese actor, model, singer, designer, and producer. He won the Top Chinese Male Model title in 1991 and was the first Chinese male model to walk the international fashion runway. He costarred with Bruce Willis in the 2018 film Air Strike and in the 2021 Chinese television series Love Scenery with Lin Yi. He has more than 700,000 followers on Instagram and more than 2 million on Facebook.

Before Fame

At 11, he worked toward becoming a professional sculler. He won the Chinese National Rowing Championship in the men's single scull event at the age of 16.

Trivia

After high school, he attended the Zhejiang Provincial Athletic Institute. He majored in health education and sports psychology. He was a member of China's national rowing team and rowed at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. But he injured his back from overtraining in 1990.

Family Life

He was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. His parents are from military backgrounds. His older brother Hu Dong is also an acclaimed Chinese actor, model, and singer.

He co-hosted Japanese shows, including one alongside Norika Fujiwara. He also appeared in the film Ken and Mary costarring Takenaka Naoto.
