She began playing violin just before her fourth birthday and by sixteen, she had enough credits to graduate from university and signed an exclusive record deal with Sony.

She mentioned in interviews Bach was her favorite composer and that playing his work helped her stay at her best.

Family Life

Her father Steve worked as a journalist and librarian, and her mother Anne was an accountant. She and her husband have two daughters.
